The newest chapter in the Margot Robbie house story came with no listing. In June 2025, Queensland reports said a mystery buyer paid about AUD $28 million off market for Redwood, a seven acre estate.

Several reports pointed to Robbie as the buyer behind a company set up weeks earlier. That off market pattern runs through her history, from Clapham to Venice. This article puts every property in one place.

The Reported Numbers, in One Place

The table below holds the deal figures. Read the right hand column for the disagreements.

None of these prices comes from Robbie herself. She does not comment on her homes. The same treatment covers the rest of the Celebrity Homes section.

Who Is Margot Robbie?

Born in Dalby, Queensland, in 1990, Margot Robbie grew up on the Gold Coast. She spent long stretches on her grandparents’ farm.

At 17 she landed a regular role as Donna Freedman on Neighbours. She moved to Melbourne, sharing a flat with Ashleigh Brewer.

Hollywood came through The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013. She has since mixed blockbusters with producing, running LuckyChap with Tom Ackerley.

Barbie in 2023 made her a producer and a star. Wuthering Heights keeps her current. Her Los Angeles story sits beside others here, including Leonardo DiCaprio’s place in the hills.

Where Does Margot Robbie Live?

The short answer is Venice, Los Angeles. Queensland pulls her back.

The Venice compound, bought in 2019 and renovated from 2021, is the home she showed in Vogue’s 73 Questions. It is described as her main residence.

But Queensland is where recent reports point, with Redwood and Newrybar. Add a River Dee cottage in Scotland. The answer is a life split between Los Angeles and Australia, with Scotland as a third base, and Brad Pitt, whose Los Angeles home is also covered here.

The Margot Robbie House Portfolio, Property by Property

The deals follow the order they were bought, not their price tags. That order shows a buyer who started in a shared house and bought her first home a month after her wedding. Other actresses with homes on two continents get the same treatment, including Angelina Jolie’s houses.

The Venice Compound, Still Home

Robbie and Ackerley bought the Venice property off market in 2019. One account says $4.75 million, another says $5 million.

The lot held three buildings: a cottage, a two bedroom bungalow, and a kitchen and office building with a loft. It had a lawn, lap pool.

Renovation work from 2021 made it the home she shows. It has a centre courtyard for dining.

Hancock Park, the First LA Home

A month after marrying Ackerley in December 2016, the couple bought a Los Angeles home in Hancock Park. It was a 3,300 square foot 2016 build, for $2.73 million.

Sources disagree on the room counts. One gives four bedrooms and six bathrooms, another gives five bedrooms and five bathrooms.

They agree on light rooms, marble fireplaces, a swing, pool and spa. The couple listed it in May 2021 at $3.47 million and sold it a month later for $3.45 million.

The Hollywood Heights Bungalow Flip

In February 2018 Robbie bought a 1951 Hollywood Heights bungalow from Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black for $950,000. It was a 945 square foot home, two bedrooms and one bathroom.

She refinished the floors, updated the kitchen and repainted it, rented it at $5,000 a month, later $4,200, before selling in 2021. American reports put the sale at $1.2 million. One Australian figure converts to about $2.1 million, so the sale price stays disputed.

Gold Coast Homes for Family

In 2018 Robbie spent a reported AUD $2.5 million on two neighbouring Gold Coast homes, one for her mother, one for her sister. Each had three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a garage.

Four years earlier she paid off her mother’s Southport mortgage for her 60th birthday. The Tallebudgera Valley vacation home, a 7 acre spot with a guesthouse, hot tub, sauna, yoga hut, creek, was sold in July 2025 for $4.9 million.

Cedar Hill, Near Byron Bay

In 2018, reports say, Robbie bought Cedar Hill in Newrybar, called Australia’s most beautiful home in one account, for a reported $4.6 million. The five acre estate holds two residences, a sleeping barn, a living barn, plus a two bedroom cabin, terrace, mineral pool, spa, firepit.

The Scotland Cottage

The Scotland cottage came in 2024, on the River Dee not far from Balmoral. No price was reported for it.

Inside the Venice Compound

Nothing here comes from a private tour. She has not given one. Everything below comes from the Vogue video and deal reporting.

The video shows a home built around being outside as much as inside. No fuller plan has been published.

  • Courtyard first. The centre courtyard holds the dining area, so meals happen outdoors, with the three buildings arranged around it.
  • Three small buildings, not one mansion. A cottage, a two bedroom bungalow, and a kitchen and office building with a loft split sleeping, cooking and working.
  • Coastal colours, kept calm. Blue, wood tones and gold run through the rooms, with two surfboards on show.

The Queensland Homecoming: Redwood, Reported Not Confirmed

Redwood makes this article current. It needs the most care. The estate, known as The Copper Arbour and designed by Paul Uhlmann Architects, sits on 2.9 hectares on Currumbin Creek.

It has a tree framed driveway, a copper skinned house, paddocks. It has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, stables, a pool, a tennis court, 10 car garaging.

Reports say the off market deal settled in June 2025 for about AUD $27.5 million to $28 million, one of Queensland’s priciest residential deals. One report names Pippyyork Pty Ltd, set up weeks before the sale, as buyer for an undisclosed party understood to be Robbie.

Neither Robbie nor her representatives have confirmed the purchase. She stays the reported buyer, not the owner.

She grew up on her grandparents’ farm there, doing homework in a tree. Country & Town House’s guide to her property portfolio carries the Redwood report alongside the rest of her homes.

Design Ideas Worth Borrowing

Robbie’s homes are useful because they are not all mansions. The ideas below work at normal sizes. Each one comes from a feature.

  • Buy small and renovate well. The 945 square foot bungalow shows what refinished floors, a refreshed kitchen and fresh paint can do.
  • Keep family close, literally. Two neighbouring homes for her mother and sister cost less than one trophy house.
  • Let the garden do the talking. A private creek, vegetable gardens, fruit trees at Tallebudgera beat a manicured garden.

Questions Readers Keep Asking

These are the questions searchers ask about her homes. They were gathered from competitor headings.

Where does Margot Robbie live now?

Venice, Los Angeles, as far as reporting goes. The compound was bought in 2019 and renovated from 2021.

Queensland is the second base, with the reported Redwood estate and Newrybar. No 2026 source names one main home, so the answer is Venice first, Queensland second.

How many houses does Margot Robbie own?

No source gives a settled count, because rentals, sales and unconfirmed reports blur it. Reporting ties her to the Venice compound, the Newrybar estate and the Scotland cottage, with Redwood reported but unconfirmed and Gold Coast homes bought for relatives.

Is the Redwood estate really hers?

Not confirmed. Several reports point to Robbie as the mystery buyer of the June 2025 off market deal. One names a company set up weeks before the sale, but neither Robbie nor her representatives have confirmed it, so treat it as reported for now.

What did the Hollywood bungalow sell for?

American reports put the 2021 sale at $1.2 million, after a $950,000 purchase in 2018 and a rental spell at $4,200. One Australian figure converts to about $2.1 million. The sale price is disputed, and this article prints both.

What Her Next Move Might Tell Us

If the pattern holds, the next Robbie purchase will not arrive with a press release. It will surface months later in a report or record, probably near a place she loves, off market, because that is how every purchase here happened.

The question to watch is Redwood. A confirmation would turn the Queensland homecoming into the biggest fact of her property story, and a denial would leave Venice as the undisputed main home. Either way, the table at the top can take the answer.
